Xiaomi has officially launched two Android One devices in India - Redmi Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite. These are the successors to last year's hugely popular Mi A1. Currently Mi A2 is listed on Amazon India and the launch date / first sale is set for August 8th. It will be available to purchase exclusively online from Amazon.in. MRP price for the Mi A2 is yet to be revealed. It is expected to cost around Rs 20,000 in India. What is an Android One device ? How is it different from other Xiaomi Mi Devices ? All Xiaomi / Mi Android smartphones ship with MIUI software on board. MIUI is a highly modified version of Android and the software updates are send to the device by Xiaomi from their own servers. Android One devices are different. All of them run Stock Android and will get promised OTA software updates for 2 years and security updates for 3 years from launch.
