Xiaomi has launched 2 new budget Android smartphones - Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus in China. It will come to India in coming months and will be available to purchase from Flipkart and Amazon India. Xiaomi has just launched Redmi 5A in India at a price of Rs 4,999 ( check here ).
Following the latest trend, both these smartphones feature a bezel less design, with 18:9 displays. Redmi 5 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor while the Plus variant get a better Snapdragon 625 octacore processor.
Both come with the same exact cameras on the front and the back. There is a 12MP F2.2 aperture rear shooter and a 5MP front camera with selfie soft flash. Both feature a fingerprint sensor on the back.
Redmi 5 will be available in 2GB ram / 16GB and 3GB / 32GB storage options. Redmi 5 Plus on the other hand will be available in 3GB / 32GB and 4GB ram / 64GB variants. It will come in 4 different colors - Blue, Gold, Rose Gold and Black.
