Huawei is launching Honor 8X in India today online on Amazon. It is priced at Rs 14,999 ( 64GB + 4GB ram ). Honor 8X will be available to purchase from Oct 24th exclusively online on Amazon.in.
Earlier launched Honor 6X and Honor 7X were well received. When launched, they were one of the few budget phones that shipped with Dual cameras on the back.

Honor 8X, like it's predecessors come with a Dual Camera setup on the back. It sports a 20MP F1.8 aperture main sensor with PDAF and a 2MP sensor next to it to record depth information for Bokeh and Portrait modes. On the front, you get a 16MP shooter for your selfies with Beauty modes and all.
Like every other Huawei / Honor mobile launched in 2018, this too feature a camera with AI features built in. With AI mode on, you can just point and shoot, the camera app would adjust the colors and settings to match the scene. For eg, if it detects a face in the frame, it switches to Potrait bokeh mode and blurs the background.
Honor 8X is powered by Huawei's own Kirin 710 Octacore processor and comes with 4GB of ram and 64GB of storage. There is also a more expensive variant shipping with 6GB of ram and 128GB of storage.
In the display department, Honor 8X has a massive screen at 6.5 inches. However, since it has a 91% screen to body ratio, the device while holding, would feel like a 5.5 inch phone. It features a Full View Full HD+ display with 19:5:9 ratio. Huawei has incorporated both Sunlight Display Technology and Eye Comfort Mode in to this phone's software to get better use of the screen in different conditions.
Honor 8X ships with EMUI 8.2 based on Android 8 Oreo. It will get an update to Android 9 Pie based EMUI 9 in future. It is equipped with a 3750mAh battery which should last a day of moderate to heavy usage.
All in all, Huawei has put out a great budget, mid-range smartphone, perfect for Indian customers. The huge display and a 20MP sensor with AI camera would attract many customers for sure.
