HMD Global has officially launched Nokia 8.1 with Android 9 Pie in India. It will go on sale from Dec 20 onwards on Amazon.in. All nokia android smartphones are part of Android One program, which means this will get monthly security updates as well as next major Android version.

Nokia 8.1 is powered by mid-range Snapdragon 710 processor and comes with 4GB of ram and 64GB of storage. Even though this is not a flagship qualcomm chipset, SD710 is plenty fast. In the camera department, like many other recently launched Nokia phones, this too feature Zeiss branded rear and front cameras. There is a main 12MP F1.8 aperture rear camera with OIS and PDAF support along with a 13MP FF sensor. On the front, there is a 20MP shooter for your detailed selfies. Popular features like Live Bokeh, Portrait Mode, Studio lighting etc are available on this as well.
Since this is running Stock Android 9 Pie, the overall experience would be fluid and snappy. The adaptive battery features in the latest version of Android would help to get the maximum out of the 3500mAh battery on board the Nokia 8.1. It also supports 18W fast charging. The 6.18 inch Full HD+ screen comes with HDR10 support.
