Huami is a leading global wearable technology company developing products under its own brand Amazfit as well as make gadgets for chinese giants Xiaomi. The latest from Huami, Amazfit Verge Smartwatch will go on sale today online on Amazon.in at a price of Rs 11,999 MRP.
Note : This is not your typical Android Wear ( Wear OS )smartwatch, instead it runs on Amazfit OS System which according to the specs sheet provided at Amazon.in is based on Android system.
Amazfit Verge does everything any other smartwatch at this price range does. It has stylish build and looks like a premium, good quality gadget for your wrists. It sports an AMOLED screen with Gorilla Glass 3 protection and comes with an anti-fingerprint coating for good visibility in all conditions. You can make and answer calls with watch as it comes with a speaker as well as a microphone.
On the inside, Amazfit Verge is powered by a Dual Core 1.2Ghz processor and comes with 512MB of ram - plenty enough for a wearable gadget. It has 4GB of internal storage of which 1.9GB is available for users.
It comes with a wide variety of sensor - Optical sensor, Acceleration sensor, Gyroscope, Geomagnetic sensor, Air pressure sensor and Ambient light sensor. GPS + GLONASS support is also there, which will give a more accurate step count data. It comes with a 390mAh battery which, according to Huami will give 5 days of usage.
Amazfit Verge is IP68 waterproof, so you don't have to worry about taking to extreme conditions. It can be connected to your smartphone ( Android 4.4 or iOS 9.0 or above ) via bluetooth. Once connected, you can check the data on your phone using their official fitness app.
