I have been using Honor 10 for more than 6 months now. There are a lot of things to like about this flagship Kirin 970 powered device. There are a few things to dislike as well.
Things i like about the device - Pros
Compact Size - 5.84 inch display with a 19:9 screen ratio is the perfect size to carry around and can be used with one hand with ease. Even though it has a glass back, it is not as slippery as i thought. It is a fingerprint magnet though.
Processing Power - Kirin 970 was the top notch processor Huawei has got to offer in 2018. So no lags there and app open without any issues. GPU Turbo tech on board helps in better gaming as well.
Camera - I love all AI features on board and the AI Image stabilization is good as well. There is a Pro mode as well as awesome light painting modes which are unique to Huawei phones. Night mode is excellent as well.
Face Unlock - Even though the fingerprint sensor on the front is quite slow, the Face unlock on this is super fast - so fast that you won't be able to see the lock screen when you pull up your phone to your face.
Updates - Huawei updates the phone with security patches every month which is good. It will also get EMUI 9.1 version soon and possibile Android Q in the future.
Things i dont like about Honor 10 - Cons
Battery Performance - It is just average. You can increase the backup by switching the screen resolution from Full HD+ to HD+. Expect around 3-4 hours of screen on time.
Heating Issues - Occasionally the phone heats up during heavy usage. Recently, after shooting a lot of photos and a few 4K clips, the phone heated up and shut off. I should mention i shoot a lot of raw dng images in pro mode and this shut off incident only happened once. You won't notice it during your day to day activities though.
Camera - Video Recording - The 1080P quality is OK, not exceptional. Slowmo quality is below average in my opinion. There is no OIS and the EIS support is not there while shooting 4K videos.
EMUI 9 - this comes down to user preference. Some would love the iOS like user interface EMUI offers. Stock Android lovers like me hate it though. EMUI do offer some great tweaks and customizations which are missing on Stock Android
