Looking to buy a new Android smartphone? If you are like me, you would be looking to spend money on a good value for money device. Currently, in India, there is only one Android smartphone i would buy without any hesitation - OnePlus 3T.
OnePlus 3T 64GB sells for Rs 29,999 in India. 128GB variant will cost you Rs 34,999.
Why is this considered the best value for money device launched in 2016 - 2017 ? Answer is simple. If a bigger OEM like Samsung, LG, HTC etc were to make this smartphone, with the same specs, it will cost you around 60K price probably.
OnePlus 3T is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and comes with 6GB ram. Comparing this to Google Pixel which has the same processor, but 2GB ram less than 3T, the price difference is huge. Google Pixel phones sell for Rs 57,000 in India.
Let's take another 6GB ram android smartphone - Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro. It has a nice huge Super AMOLED display and all, but it is powered by less powerful Snapdragon 653 chipset instead of flagship Snapdragon 821.
Camera on OnePlus 3T is not that great comparing to the like of Google Pixel, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge etc. Still it has one of the best cameras in that price range. In the software area as well Google pixel has an advantage as it runs on Stock android and gets direct software updates and security updates frequently for 2 - 3 years.
However, if you look at the overall specs, OnePlus 3T is without any doubt the best value for money device you can buy today online in India.
