Blackberry has officially launched BB Key 2 at a price of $649/£579 with mid-range specs and a physical keyboard. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor instead of the high end Snapdragon 845. Thankfully there is a headphone jack available which has now become a rarity among flagship devices launching in 2018.
Blackberry Key 2 is available in 64GB and 128GB storage configurations. It comes with 6GB of ram. The display is a 4.5 inch LCD one with Full HD resolution. Blackberry is introducing a Dual Camera setup this time. There is a regular 12MP F1.8 aperture lens and a 12MP F2.6 aperture telephoto lens with Portrait mode support. Thanks to that telephoto lens, you can use Optical Zoom instead of Digital in good lightning conditions. Since the aperture on the telephoto lens is F2.6, don't expect to get great shots in low light.
So who's this phone for ?
Die hard fans of Blackberry, who bought the original Blackberry Key 1 would be interested in buying this for sure. Other than that, i don't see anyone going to be that interested in choosing this over Full Screen devices like OnePlus 6 which gives more value for money overall. People who are worried about security and privacy would also be interested in buying the Key 2 thanks to those apps and features Blackberry has built in to this phone to protect your privacy.
