Google Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P have been out for a while now. You can still buy these online in India on Flipkart, Amazon.in etc. However, the latest smartphone from Google is not a Nexus device, instead it is Google Pixel ( and Pixel XL ) and are priced much higher around 57K.
So it worth to buy a Nexus 5X or 6P in 2017 ?
If you are getting these old Nexus devices made by LG and Huawei for a cheap offer price, i would say these are still one of the best Android smartphones you can buy today. Nexus 5X is powered by Snapdragon 805 processor while 6P is powered by more powerful Snapdragn 810 processor. Both these processors are quite capable, and you would hardly see any lags during day to day normal usage.
The reason why i think this is still a great device to buy in 2017 is the camera. Thanks to Google's HDR+ camera on these, the images coming out of these in good lighting conditions are amazing. Even in low light, the noise levels are well controlled. Both 5X and 6P feature the same Sony 12MP sensor with larger pixel size.
Another main advantage 5X and 6P have over other phones - even those 2017 flagship mobiles like Galaxy S8, LG G6, HTC U Ultra etc is the software. Both these old nexus device run on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Also, in October 2017, this will get the next major Android version - Android O as soon as Google launches it. These devices will also get monthly security updates until Oct 2018. So basically, you will be using the most secure Android device available in the market.
If you are buying Nexus 6P, make sure to get the 64GB variant ( check here for the lowest price ) and if you are buying Nexus 5X, go get the 32GB variant ( check here ). Do not buy the 16GB model, as you the internal memory will fill up quite quickly.
