Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ will be available to Pre-order / Purchase in India from today online on Flipkart. Pre-orders will go live at 3PM on April 19. Check out the Pre-order page on Flipkart here. Official MRP pricing for Galaxy S8 is yet to be revealed.
Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus launching in India are powered by Exynos 8895 Octacore processor instead of Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. All other features remain the same as the S8 launched in the US.
It has an infinity display i.e a bezel less design, with a QHD Super AMOLED screen. Galaxy S8 has a 5.8 inch one while S8+ gets a 6.2 inch one. Unlike earlier Samsung mobiles, there is no front physical button on S8, instead these new flagship phones have on screen buttons. Samsung has places the fingerprint sensor on the back, near to the camera.
In the camera department, Samsung retains the same excellent camera seen on Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. The 12MP F1.7 sensor is one of the best in the market. Samsung claims to improve the image quality by adding multi exposure shots. The front camera is now an Auto Focus 8MP F1.7 aperture one.
All regular features like 4K recording, Slow mo recording, Super fast Dual auto focus etc are available in Galaxy S8 and S8+.
Samsung is shipping these devices with Android 7 Nougat with Touchwiz UI on top. There is also a new Bixby personal assistant which is simlar to Google Now / Assistant.
