Motorola has launched both Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus in India. Moto G5 is priced at Rs 11,999 MRP in India on Amazon while Moto G5 Plus will cost you Rs 16,999 on Flipkart. Let's check out the main spec differences between these two devices.
Moto G5 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor while Moto G5 plus has more powerful Snapdragon 625 octacore processor on board. In graphics department, G5 has Adreno 505 while G5 Plus has slightly more powerful Adreno 506. Moto G5 only has 3GB of ram, while more expensive G5 Plus gets 4GB of ram.
In the display department, Moto G5 Plus sports a 5.2 inch Full HD display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Moto G5 on the other hand has a 5 inch Full HD screen.
In the battery department, G5 has a 2800mAh battery while G5 Plus gets a slightly more powerful 3000mAh one. The battery on the G5 is removable which is now a rarity.
In the camera department, G5 Plus features a 12MP F1.7 aperture rear camera with Dual LED flash and Dual Auto Focus. There is a 5MP F2.2 aperture front camera. Moto G5 on the other hand has a 13MP F2.0 aperture PDAF rear camera and a 5MP F2.2 aperture front camera.
Both ships with close to stock Android 7.0 Nougat and is expected to get at least one major update in future. Both these phones have fingerprint sensor on the front.
So which one to buy ? Moto G5 or Moto G5 Plus ? If you are on a budget, Moto G5 is a good device to buy. If money is not an issue, definetly go grab Moto G5 Plus instead for more ram, a better processor and rear camera.
