OnePlus CEO has just revealed the next Flagship Android smartphone from them, OnePlus 6 will launch in June 2018. Both OnePlus 5T and OnePlus 5 were received very well worldwide. Even though the prices of OnePlus mobiles have gone up comparing to the first generation flagship smartphones from them, it still continues to be the best value for money smartphone you can buy today.
In my opinion, there are a few things OnePlus should fix in the upcoming OnePlus 6 to be considered a true flagship.
No 1 in the list is the camera. Now, i am not saying OnePlus 5 series smartphones have bad camera. They have good camera for sure, however the competing flagship phones from HTC ( HTC U11 ), Google ( Pixel 2, Pixel 2016 ), Samsung ( Galaxy Note 8 and upcoming Galaxy S9 series ) are ahead when it comes to camera performance.
OnePlus should consider implementing something similar to Zero Shutter Lag HDR+ seen on Google Pixel 2 smartphones. Developers aka Hackers have been modding Google Camera with HDR+ seen on Pixel phones on to other mobiles and achieving great results, instantly improving the default image quality.
One other area OnePlus should and must bring an improvement is the Display. Almost all OnePlus devices until now have shipped with Full HD displays while most flagship smartphones now ship with Quad HD screens. They should at least bring higher resolution display on to OnePlus 6T model, that way customers will have an option to choose between them.
There is also one other area i would love to see a change. The design. Dear OnePlus, please stop copying Apple iPhone designs. Bring something new and have a uniqueness. Start from the scratch and surprise all of us with a great, new, attractive design.
It they can fix those things, we would see an amazing flagship smartphone from them in 2018.
